Clayton and Natalie got married! :) |
| 16th July 2004 |
Went to the court house, in the county where we were married, to get a copy of our marriage certificate. Which wasn't there, our Pastor said she turned it in on the 7th the day after our wedding. But the court house doesn't have record of this so where is our certificate? |
| 19th July 2004 |
Phone call from our Pastor she had our Marriage certificate, and hadn't turned it in. She's going to hand it to the county office tomorrow the 20th. |

Mail from INS- Received a letter and a cash register receipt for $315, also had our Biometric fingerprint check of $70 returned. The letter gave no explination of why it was returned. The letter states that our application will be processed in the order that it was received, and that processing times may vary depending on the type of application. Checked the Seattle Office online, AOS applications can take up to 5-6mths to process. |
| 8th August 2004 |
Called the Seattle District office for some answers on the fingerprinting check. Apparently K-1ers in Washington State don't need to have Biometrics done. I had my fingerprints taken at Port of entry, the officer said that is all we require. |
| 9th September 2004 |
Went to the DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles) today and got my Washington State ID card. This is so I have some ID with my married name and new address. It looks just like a US drivers licence but has "IDENTIFICATION CARD ONLY" written at the top. I had to show my Passport and Clayton's driver's licence, along with our marriage certificate, to prove my residency. To apply for a State ID Card just go to your local DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles) |
